OUR LEADERSHIP

Tracy Balazs serves as our Chief Executive Officer and President of Compass Government Solutions, a role she has held since establishing CGS in April 2021. With a robust background in both public and private sectors, Tracy has established herself as a leader in healthcare, human resources consulting, and military readiness programs. Her journey is marked by a commitment to optimizing outcomes and creating impactful solutions for her clients.

Tracy’s career began in healthcare, where she spent 20 years as a clinical trauma nurse. Her work with military personnel and experience in healthcare recruiting laid the foundation for her transition into federal government business development. In 2004, Tracy began her journey as an entrepreneur, securing prestigious federal government healthcare contracts, including DHA MQS IDIQ, AF CLASS, and Navy MATOs. Her expertise and leadership in these sectors earned her recognition from the SBA, INC5000, and other notable organizations.

Now, as the founder and CEO of Compass Government Solutions, Tracy continues to lead with a commitment to innovation and excellence in supporting federal agencies in health, military readiness, and social and behavioral sciences programs.​ Guided by our True North philosophy, she navigates clients toward success with collaborative and effective solutions.

Tracy is an active member of several professional associations, including Women Elevating Women (W.E.W), Women’s Presidents Organization (WPO), Women Business Leaders (WBL), and various government and veterans organizations. Her involvement extends to mentoring, speaking engagements, and serving on boards. Notably, she has addressed Congressional leadership and participated in discussions on small business challenges and diversity.

Throughout her career, Tracy has been recognized for her contributions such as being a finalist for the Greater Washington Innovation Awards and the GovStar Awards, and being named among the 50 Largest Women-Owned Businesses. Her educational background includes an Executive Program from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Birkman Certification, and studies at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
